Arrival gateway at Auckland International Airport

The Auckland International airport Arrival gateway is always a welcome sight.  Fabulous Maori wood carving.

After 2.5 years away it was extra special to be back.  The 2022 adventure begins.

Most motorhomes in New Zealand have a name; ours is called Tantalus.
What is a tantalus?

A lockable wine carrier of course.

We are still finding our way in France but do have some favourite places and tend to return to them each year.  There are also new places to explore and the language is still very much of a challenge!

I have been an avid reader of Terry Pratchett's books. My fav was probably 'Men at Arms' as it was the first one I read. But then there was 'The Truth'and so many more.  Terry was also a Humanist.  I share his views there too.

A man is not dead while his name is still spoken. GNU Terry Pratchett.

Terry Pratchett    The British Humanist Association

GNU is a Clacks code “where the G means that the message should be passed on, the N means “Not Logged” and the U that it should be turned around at the end of the line.“ (from the L-space wiki)
If someone died on the Clacks, the Clacks operators would send their name out on the overhead so that they could live on forever in the code because “a man is not dead while his name is still spoken“.
By creating and sharing new fan works, Terry Pratchett and the Disc lives on, too.

Why knotperfect? Originally, this was the showcase for John's woodturning but as his eyesight has deteriorated, it has become our personal photo album.

These pages mostly contain photos taken during our motorhome travels in New Zealand and France. They are primarily intended for our friends so that they can choose what pictures to see. We don't make paper photo albums.

We also hope that some bits of information may be of some use to anyone planning to travel to places we have visited.
